Blast Away Those Cold Bugs: Antioxidant Smoothie Bowl

Would you just take a look at this bright and sunny smoothie bowl? It makes me happy just looking at it & even happier eating it for breakfast :).

I am thoroughly determined to ward off coughs and colds this fall and winter using nutrition as my main defence mechanism.


This bug busting breakfast bowl (try saying that quickly) was blended with spinach, frozen cauliflower, frozen mango and pineapple and topped with kiwi, blueberries, cashews, flax and chia seeds. Packed full of antioxidants from blueberries and spinach as well as vitamin C from kiwi, mango and pineapple, this bowl is a big hitter for boosting the immune system.

My kids start school again tomorrow and I for one am extremely relieved to get them back after a long 10 weeks vacation.  With a bit of a challenging 2017, I’m hoping for great things all round for IK HQ as we finish this year and go into 2018.  Onwards and upwards!
