Feeling Kinda Blue: Blueberry Topped Oatmeal

I don’t know about you but the blueberries I’ve been buying over the last few weeks are popping with summer flavor.  We get through a lot of these delicious antioxidant loaded berries that we add to breakfast oats or cereal.  According to the American Chemical Society, blueberries improve cognition and could prevent dementia thanks to the flavanoids (anthocyanins) that they contain.  Excellent news.

Today I’ve made some breakfast oats topped with blueberries to highlight their deliciousness along with sliced kiwi, almonds, pumkin, flax and chia seeds and some greek yogurt.  Absolutely fantastic, satisfying and nutritious breakfast.
