Ok so September has come around again, the long Summer days are basically over (although it’s apparently 31 degrees c here in NYC today) and the routine of weekday and night meals is back again.
It’s so easy to get distracted & preoccupied by new routines and schedules at this time of year and therefore equally easy to fall into some bad habits when it comes to planning meals (I’m talking mainly about turning to takeout menus here which we’ve all been guilty of doing at some point).
There is however a solution to this problem to ensure that you and/or the family sit down to eat more nutritious meals that are also healthier on the wallet. If you set aside a weekend half day to load up your freezer with meals and ingredients you can prepare easily and quickly then you’re winning at weekday meals for sure.
Here are some really, really good ideas on epicurious.com for planning, preparing and stocking up your freezer. Do take a look, it’s worth the read.
Have a great day everybody!
