My tummy is a very sensitive one!  It’s always been that way and when I was pregnant I was sick 5-6 times a day for the whole 9 months (with 2 pregnancies) which was miserable.  Worth it in the end though :).

Part of the reason I decided to qualify as a Nutritionist was to understand how food can play a role in keeping our digestive system healthy and happy as a whole.  I like the idea that if your stomach is out of sorts from nausea, or bloating, you can turn to light food & drinks to help reduce the symptoms.

One of natural solutions to stomach upsets (such as indigestion) is to drink more water to flush out all the nastiness.  Eating ginger is also known natural remedy.  You can add some minced fresh ginger to boiling water and let it simmer for a few minutes.  Adding fresh lemon juice to this ginger tea will also make it taste really good.

Here’s some useful tips from Livestrong.com for treating stomach upsets naturally.
